Beacon Hill Fire Causes $1M in Damages
Five residents were displaced as a result of Saturday night's fire on Charles Street.
The Boston Fire Department is investigating the cause and point of origin of a Beacon Hill fire that reportedly caused $1 million in damages Saturday night.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m. Saturday in the walls of a Charles Street building that comprised a clothing business and residences, according to BFD. Five residents were displaced from the fire, with two being assisted by Red Cross and the others staying with family and friends, according to fire officials.
One firefighter was treated and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for chest pains. No other injuries were reported.
