Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On Thursday, June 2, 2011, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to open the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion on the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway in the Wharf District parks. The pavilion will serve as a gateway to the Boston Harbor Islands national park area and the ferry terminal at Long Wharf.

The video highlights the ribbon-cutting and speeches by Vicki Kennedy and Tom Powers, President of the Boston Harbor Island Alliance. Also attending the ceremony were Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, MassDOT Secretary Jeff Mullan, BRA Director Peter Meade, Harbor Island Alliance Board Chair Douglas McGarrah, National Park Service Superintendent Bruce Jacobson and Audrey O’Hagan, President of the Boston Society of Architects who presented the BSA Commonwealth Award to the Boston Harbor Island Alliance.
