Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill, Boston’s one-stop Christmas shop to highlight their Collectible Lines with a Collector’s Day

Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill is fast becoming known across the US for its growing line of collectibles. On Saturday, November 3rd, Blackstone’s will continue its 30th Anniversary event series by hosting a day-long collector’s
event.  They will be showcasing five of their most popular collectible lines.  These include Wee Forest Folk, Byers Choice Carolers, JingleNog European old world glass ornaments and two lines from Germany…wooden angels from Wendt & Kuhn and exquisite hand-painted pewter figures from William Schweizer.

Blackstone’s will kick off its day-long event at 10:00 am with a special appearance and demonstration from Wee
Forest Folk artist and sculptor, Will Petersen.
Petersen and the Wee Forest Folk family from Carlisle, MA were recently featured on TV’s Chronicle program. Here it was learned that some of the retired pieces can fetch close to $5,000! (Chronicle web-site)  In addition, Diane Lyman of Byers Choice will be on hand to answer questions and speak about the rich history of one of America’s favorite collectibles.

For the sheer joy of collecting or as an investment, collectibles have remained a growing, resilient and rewarding hobby and passion for those who value the skill, beauty and uniqueness of hand crafted treasures and the work of the dedicated artisans who bring them to life.
