Join the Longwood Symphony Orchestra and conductor Matthew Aucoin for an all-Mozart program. Named after Boston's Longwood Medical Area, the LSO is composed primarily of health-care professionals who are also highly trained musicians. Debuting with the LSO is conductor Matthew Aucoin, a recent graduate of Harvard College who will serve this fall as Assistant Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera and Music Director/Composer-in-Residence of the ensemble Encounters at the Peabody Essex Museum. Aucoin leads the LSO in three of Mozart's most beloved works: the Overture to Don Giovanni, Piano Concerto No. 21, and Symphony No. 41 ("Jupiter"). Talented young musicians from the Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts will join the LSO on stage.
