Lowell Humanities Series: Suketu Mehta

Suketu Mehta is the New York-based author of Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found, a Pulitzer Prize finalist. A winner of several awards and fellowships for his fiction, Mehta’s nonfiction has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, and Granta, among others. Mehta, who teaches journalism at New York University, is working on a book about immigrants in contemporary New York. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2000 Bollywood movie Mission Kashmir, and wrote the original screenplay for The Goddess, a Merchant-Ivory film starring Tina Turner.
