Ken Turino, manager of community engagement and exhibitions at Historic New England, will present Reinventing the Historic House Museum. In 2002 and 2007, museum leaders gathered at Kykuit, the New York home of John D. Rockefeller, Jr., to consider future directions for historic properties. The Kykuit conferences set an agenda for change for history organizations. Turino will discuss Kykuit findings and creative ways historic sites are addressing community needs and making themselves relevant and sustainable.
