ICI was pleased to welcome an esteemed Japanese delegation yesterday!
Together with ICI staff they discussed vocational rehabilitation related projects and initiatives. Currently the ICI is collaborating with the Japan Organization for the Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers (JEED) on two research projects. One focuses on VR competencies and another focuses on career development for persons with visual impairments.
The visitors included Mr. Toshiharu Kobayashi, chairmen of JEED; Mr. Ryosuke Matsui, professor emeritus of Hosei University and vice president of the Japan Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSRPD); and Ms. Chikako Kohyama, chief international coordinator for JEED.
