Mother's Day at Scampo

Lydia Shire & team dish out queenly specials on May 8

This Mother’s Day, Scampo chef and owner Lydia Shire will dish out a collection of queenly menu features over brunch and dinner service. Available in addition to the regular menus, these a la carte specials showcase the best tastes from land and sea while spoiling the taste buds of much-deserving matriarchs.

To start, there is Lydia Shire’s Maryland Crab Cake with avocado mousse and a sorrel salad with mustard vinaigrette ($23) and Spring Corn Ravioli with half of a soft shell lobster ($22). Specialty entrees include the Dover Sole with ricotta gnocchetti and rose beurre blanc ($48) and Porcini Rubbed Delmonico Steak with wild mushroom risotto and truffle gastrique ($46). For one last taste of indulgence, the dessert special is a Vanilla Angel Food Cake with roasted apricots and raspberry-lemonade sorbet ($12).

For moms who love bubbles, Scampo will feature sparkling cocktail options ($14 each): Italian Sangria with Cynar, Amaro, red wine and a rosé champagne float and the Spiced Pear with pear-infused vodka, all spice simple syrup, star anise and a champagne float.
