Movie Tour Company Brings Fans to Beacon Hill

On Location Tours, a new movie and TV Tour company, will soon bring film buffs and tourists through Boston to see locations from films shot in town.

The Boston Herald had a story this week about two tours that bring Hollywood sightseers to spots around the city—including the Beacon Hill laundromat that doubles as a bar in "The Departed." 

The piece focused on two different options presented by On Location Tours. The first sends customers on a 90-minute iPad-guided walking tour of 25 locations. The second puts customers on a bus to see more than 40 sites in three hours. Both present clips that correspond to the tour stops.

The story says that the tours are in a constant state of flux due to Hollywood’s whims and hits, but tour guide and Norwood native Dave Aspro said that Good Will Hunting remains one of his and his customers’ favorites, though Ben Affleck's The Town is sure to be near the top of that list.
