Murphy & King Attorney Peter Obersheimer Joins the Boston Bar Association Public Interest Leadership Program

Murphy & King, Professional Corporation announced today that Attorney Peter Obersheimer has been accepted into the Boston Bar Association’s prestigious Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP.) He is one of 17 attorneys who represent a wide variety of practice areas, including legal services, firms and solo practice. The PILP promotes public service and civic engagement by advancing the leadership role of lawyers in service to their profession, community and the Commonwealth.

At Murphy & King, Obersheimer represents both individual and corporate clients in a variety of fields, including commercial lease disputes, employment law and business torts. As an associate attorney, Mr. Obersheimer has been an active pro bono volunteer representing clients in disability rights and immigration cases. This past year, he worked in collaboration with the Disability Law Center handling a pro bono disability services appeal before the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. Outside of the office, Obersheimer serves on the Emerging Leaders Board for St. Francis House and is an active volunteer leader with Best Buddies Massachusetts.

In 2015, Obersheimer was named New England Super Lawyers Rising Star in Business Litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. He resides in Beacon Hill, Massachusetts.
