North River Outfitter to Open Kids Store

Building on the success of their Charles Street store and Edgartown shops, North River Outfitter will open NRO Kids by March 1, and possibly sooner.

The new store will be at 111-113 Charles St., a space currently occupied by Baranzelli Silk Surplus, which is closing at the end of the month. 

NRO Kids will feature clothes and toys for infants and children up to elementary-school age and offer "all the brands that we carry here but the kids' version and other kids brands," spokeswoman Marie Griffin told Patch. These include Patagonia, Lilly Pulitzer, Melissa and Doug, Airflow Collectibles, Kissy Kissy.

The store will be the fifth for the company, which owns three shops in Edgartown including a kids' store and shoe store. The retailer also has an online business at www.northriveroutfitter.com.
