Police: Baby Left in Hot Car on Beacon Hill For Half an Hour
Police news from Beacon Hill, July 10 to 16.

Police were called to rescue an infant who was left in a hot car Sunday in the Charles River Plaza parking lot. Police received a call at 12:50 p.m. that a baby was left unattended in the car.
As police arrived on the scene, the baby's mother came running out of Whole Foods realizing she had accidentally left the baby in the car for half an hour, police reports state.
The baby was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and doctors determined that he was unharmed. The mother will likely be hearing from the Department of Children and Families, police reports state.

- At 12:30 p.m. police responded to Bulfinch Place for a report of an auto theft. According to police reports, a man said that his Honda scooter, which was parked at Sudbury Street and Bulfinch Place, had been stolen.
Thurdsday, July 12
- At 3 p.m. police responded to 76 Beacon St. for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $50 to $199.
- At 10:30 p.m. polcie responded to Chestnut Street for a report of larceny from a vehicle, under $50.

Saturday, July 14
- At 5 p.m. police responded to 113 Beacon St. for a report of larceny from a vehicle, $200 or more.
- At 8:45 a.m. police arrested Pedro Greene, of South Boston, on charges of assault and battery on a police office, resisting arrest and giving a false name ot a police officer. According to police reports, an officer on duty saw Greene approach a parked car in front of Store 24 on Cambridge Street. The driver, who was sitting in the car, told police that Greene has asked him for moey and said he felt threatened. Officers approached Greene, who punched one of them and ran away, police said. He was subdued after a chase and "violent struggle." He then gave police a fake name, they said.

- At 2:30 p.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, $50 to $100.
Monday, July 16
- At 1 p.m. police responded to Cambridge Street for a report of an assault and battery requiring medical attention. A man said that he was on Cambridge Street when he was attacked by two men who punched him in the face and yelled slurs at him.
- At 6 a.m. police responded to 1 Longfellow Place for a report of a breaking and entering into a residence without force.
- At 1:50 p.m. police responded to 34 Charles St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a bicycle.
