Around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday police responded to 136 Mt. Vernon St. for a gas lamp on fire. According to police reports, a truck may have hit the lamp, causing it to release gas and become engulfed in flames. The fire department responded to extinguish the flames and National Grid turned off the gas supply.

- At 4:15 p.m. police responded to 30 Charles St. for a report of a larceny. According to police reports, a woman's wallet was stolen out of her handbag, which was hanging on a baby stroller in a cafe.
