Police Looking for Man Who Let Dog Foul Sidewalk and Attacked Resident

Police are looking for a man who attacked another after being told to pick up after his dog.

According to police reports, around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 the victim confronted a dog owner and asked him to pick up the mess the dog had just left on the sidewalk at 79 Myrtle St.

The dog owner responded by striking the victim on the side of his head, knocking off his glasses, reports state. The victim took a photo of the dog and the owner, and followed them to Cambridge and Joy streets as he called police, around 5:35 p.m. Police were unable to find the suspect.
