Police: Man Alleged to Have Cocaine on Cambridge Street

Police news from Beacon Hill, April 6-8.

At 2:58 a.m. Saturday police were flagged down on Congress Street by two men who told officers that they had just "jumped" a man on Cambridge Street. The man in question saw police and ran toward Hawkins Street, where police caught him, according to their reports. The man, Kevin M. Sestito, of Hingham, was found with white powder and a rolled-up dollar bill, according to police. He was arrested on a charge of possession of a class B drug.

  • At 10:23 a.m. police responded to 181 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny in a building, $200 or more.
