Police: Man Shoves Employee When Caught Shoplifting

At 1:45 p.m. Wednesday police responded to Rite Aid, at 100 Cambridge St., for a report of an assault and battery. According to police reports, a man was caught attempting to shoplift an item and was confronted by an employee. When the employee signaled to other employees to call the police, the man shoved him and ran off. Police have a photograph of the suspect.

• At 5 p.m. police responded to the Liberty Hotel, at 215 Charles St., for a report of larceny in a building, $200 or more.

Wednesday, March 28

• At 8:30 a.m. police responded to 1 Bowdoin Square for a report of a threat to do bodily harm.

Thursday, March 29

• At 3:39 p.m. police responded to 20 Charles St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, $200 or over.
