Police: Two Car Break-Ins on Charles Street Over Weekend

Friday, Sept. 28

• At 7 p.m. police responded to Charles Street for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $200 or more. 

Saturday, Sept. 29

• At 9:30 a.m. police responded to Charles Street for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $200 or more.
• At 5 p.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, under $50. Saad Karama, of Braintree, was arrested on the charge. 
• At 10:14 p.m. police responded to 92 Pinckney St. for a report of a fire. According to police reports, residents complained of a smell of smoke and a internal fire alarm sounded. Firefighters inspected the building and cleared the scene within half an hour. 

Sunday, Sept. 30

• At 2 a.m. police responded to 101 Myrtle St. for a report of vandalism. 
• At 6:45 a.m. police responded to 21 Beacon St. for a report of assault and battery.
