Suzanne Besser Leaves the Beacon Hill Civic Association

Thursday marked the last day at the BHCA for its longtime executive director.

If you've been to a community event at any point in the past several years, you've likely seen Suzanne Besser. As the executive director of the Beacon Hill Civic Association, Besser has been deeply involved in every aspect of life on Beacon Hill. Thursday was her last day on the job.

She moved to the Hill in 1998 and was immediately interested in finding ways to build community in her new neighborhood. Fortuitiously, the executive director job had just opened up. Besser, a former reporter who had also spent time working for nonprofits, applied. , a month before she , to hear more about her work at the BHCA.
