Tuesday Recitals at Kings Chapel: Decho Duo on April 3

Take a Tuesday Music Break with this week's featured performers in the 12:15 pm recital at historic King's Chapel,

The April 3 midday recital at historic King's Chapel, 58 Tremont Street in downtown Boston, features the Decho ensemble, Jacob Swanson & Sarah Marchitelli, saxophone duo, performing works of Telemann, Deemer, Fulton and Melitz. The program begins at 12:15 pm and lasts about 35 minutes. Suggested donation of $5 is given to the performers. As educators, Swanson and Marchitelli share their passion for music, the saxophone, and collaboration with their students. Marchitelli serves on faculty at the State University of New York at Fredonia and is the Director of Instruction at Infinity Visual and Performing Arts in Jamestown, New York. Swanson teaches instrumental music for the Gowanda Central School District in Gowanda, New York, the New Horizons Band of Western New York, and Jamestown Community College. Both Marchitelli and Swanson maintain private studios at Infinity Visualand Performing Arts where they founded and co-direct the Infinity Saxophone Ensemble.

The Decho Ensemble performs on vintage Buescher saxophones built in the United States.
