The Ninth Annual West End Children's Festival is scheduled for August 16th from noon to 3pm over on Thoreau Path in the West End. We're celebrating urban living this year, and we'll have all kinds of great kid-centered activities, as well as some great performances, vendors and food.
Every year we recruit over one hundred volunteers to manage this wonderful event. Perhaps this year you'd like to lend a hand? We are looking for volunteers to welcome attendees, to support our performers, to run arts and craft activities and to help out our vendors. You can learn more about our volunteer opportunities at our Open House on Wednesday, July 23rd from 5pm to 7:30. We'll have information about volunteer opportunities, information about what's happening at the West End Community Center and some delicious light refreshments. Bring the kids - we'll have stuff to keep them busy.
If you cannot make our Open House, but are perhaps interested in volunteering or would just like to see our new office space at One Congress Street (under the Government Center Garage), call us at 617-670-1900 or come by. We're here 9 to 1pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Best,
Cheryl Sullivan
