Bedford Coronavirus: 11 Cases, 3 Recovered
Three people who had coronavirus in Bedford have recovered and are out of isolation and quarantine.
BEDFORD, MA — Bedford announced on Monday it has 11 presumptive positive cases of the new coronavirus. Three of the 11 cases have already recovered and have come off of isolation and quarantine, and there is one person under investigation.
One of the presumptive positive cases is at Hanscom Air Force Base. The person has been released from isolation, and has no close contacts that the Town of Bedford is required to follow up on, according to the town.
In a statement to the community, the town said it is likely there are other people in town impacted by COVID-19 that have not sought medical attention, and/or have not been tested and are isolating at home regardless.

Gov. Bakers announced on Monday that the "surge" in coronavirus patients in Massachusetts is expected in mid-April. As of Sunday afternoon, the coronavirus death toll in Massachusetts was 48, with 4,955 positive cases.
The CARES Act, passed Friday, earmarks $350 billion dollars for small businesses, all of which are struggling with immediate decisions about how to make rent, what to do about their employees, and which bills to pay. Tuesday at 5 p.m., Congressman Seth Moulton and Massachusetts SBA Director Bob Nelson will host a Small Business Forum on Facebook. The forum will detail the programs that were created to help small businesses and instruct them on how they can apply for assistance.

Baker said the state is considering extending the nonessential business closures that were set to expire April 7.
