MCC Helps Employees Get Into the Workforce

MCC's Community Education and Training offers online courses and certificates taught by experts in their field

In this digital world, employees need to learn valuable knowledge and skills related to technology. Middlesex Community College’s Community Education and Training (CET) offers online courses and certificates taught by experts in their fields. Adult learners, laid-off workers and furloughed employees can gain the theoretical and practical experiences needed to be successful in industries that require technological, written and administrative support.

“As the business world shifts to a digital landscape, students need to be prepared with a variety of skills in their toolboxes – including knowledge of digital marketing, social media, writing and design,” said Beth Noël, MCC’s Director of Marketing Communications. “MCC’s CET department knows what businesses are looking for in their employees and offers classes and certificate programs to help students build those skills, even in this challenging economy. Now is the time to come to Middlesex and jumpstart or advance your career.”

Noël teaches MCC’s Digital Media Marketing certificate program. Students learn about different media outlets for digital marketing and build their own campaigns. Topics include the fundamentals of marketing, as well as how to optimize marketing emails, use search engine and website optimization, track digital media, and advertise for mobile and online platforms.
