While MetroWest Jewish Day School and Saint Joseph School announced their closures earlier this year, two small colleges, Anna Maria College and Hampshire College, recently followed suit, citing ongoing financial challenges and declining enrollment.
Party City, the retail outlet long known for its seasonal celebrations, costumes, and party planning, will now reappear inside some 700 Staples locations around the country, the companies announced this week.
A total of 46 of those Russian-doll-style stores within a store are now open in Massachusetts.
First look inside this new Mass. steakhouse
Maple & Ash is expected to open on Friday at 131 Seaport Blvd. in Boston. The menu includes a mix of raw bar items, steaks, seafood and pasta.

Longtime Japanese restaurant reopens at new Wayland location
Takara Japanese Restaurant has relocated within Wayland Town Center to 21 Andrew Ave. after previously operating on Elissa Avenue.
New food court debuts in Mass.
Novo Marketplace, planned for 122 Brighton Ave., will hold a soft opening on May 1, according to its official website.

Burlington Mall adds restaurants, retail, and entertainment options
Burlington Mall is expanding its lineup with Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar and Game Show Battle Rooms opening this summer, Mavi debuting its first Massachusetts location this summer, and Champs Sports relocating to a larger space with a planned May opening.
Owners of Dairy Witch on Boston Street in Salem said the stand will remain closed this season for the first time in 74 years.
