MCC’s Free Fall Concert Series Begins with Cellist Igor Zubkovsky
A World of Music Begins Friday, Oct. 14!

A World of Music, Middlesex Community College’s 2016 fall concert series, begins with a performance by cellist Igor Zubkovsky, to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in MCC’s Concert Hall (Building 6), on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road. The concert is free and open to the public.
Zubkovsky started playing cello at the age of 5 and first appeared as a soloist with the Minsk State Philharmonic Orchestra at age 12. Currently, Zubkovisky is a member of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and performs extensively as a soloist and chamber musician.
In his performance at Middlesex, Zubkovsky will be joined by his mother, pianist Susanna Kolker, for a duo recital of works by Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, Mikhail Glinka and Karl Davydov.

Additional concerts in the A World of Music concert series include, a performance by pianist Yelena Beriyva, to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in the Bedford Campus Concert Hall; the Caravan World Music Trio will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Lowell Federal Building Assembly Room; Orlando Clea & Friends will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Bedford Campus Concert Hall; and an MCC Student Recital will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the Bedford Campus Concert Hall.
