A Bedford-based company is unveiling a product this week that could change the way global business is conducted.
iRobot will show the world Ava 500, a five-foot, five-inch, 100-pound robot at the InfoComm conference in Orlando, FL, this week.
It works this way – a person can tap on the Ava 500 app on the iPad and choose where they want to “go” and Ava will transport the person via video to that place and to talk to specific people.

“Our goal is to give executives a compelling alternative to going to meetings in person,” said CEO Colin Angle. “They’re not giving up the opportunity to sit down at a table, see people’s expressions or follow them out to the hallway to have follow-up conversations.”
