Red Sox Fans Flock to LL Bean for The One Fund Tote Bags

One Fund tote bags that are made from the Fenway Park infield tarp went for sale at select LL Bean stores at 9 a.m. Friday.

Boston Red Sox fans plunked down $49 to own a piece of Fenway Park on Friday.

LL Bean is selling The One Fund tote bags that are made from the Fenway Park infield tarp at select stores and for a limited time.

Burlington was one of only four LL Bean stores to sell the bags. The Burlington store had 900 bags when it opened at 9 a.m. Friday. Dedham, Mansfield and Freeport, Maine, were the other LL Bean stores selling the bags that benefit The One Fund.

The line for the bag stretched from the LL Bean door all the way to Lane Bryant at Wayside Commons Friday morning.

Four registers were open strictly for the One Fund bags, which were limited to one per customer. Being made of the Fenway tarp, some bags were all white, some included green pieces while others had Fenway dirt smudged on them. It was the luck of the draw as to which tote bag a customer received.
