The Dan Scharfman Memorial Run celebrates its second year in honor of

the late Dan Scharfman, an avid runner and much beloved member of the Belmont
community. The Dan Scharfman Memorial Run celebrates the legacy of Dan
Scharfman, who was a dedicated advocate of technology and innovation in

education. The FBE established the Dan Scharfman Education Innovation Fund to

continue the tradition of learning excellence in the community, and proceeds

from the Dan Scharfman Memorial Run fund initiatives such as the

Innovative Teaching Initiative (ITI), a multi-year, $450,000 fund that supports

new teaching practices and technology-based learning tools. Please join us

on October 5 to remember Dan,
celebrate his passion for running and education, and help the FBE support
education innovation in the local community.
