Ayla Brown's A Payson Park Hit

American Idol finalist brings all ages to festival.

On a sunny and warm Wednesday evening, a good-sized group comprised of a wide variety of Belmont residents surrounded the stage at the Payson Park Music Festival to hear Ayla Brown sing.

And by the reaction of the audience, Brown - an American Idol finalist, television news presenter and now famous daughter - accomplished the feat of entertaining everyone from toddlers to their grandparents and everyone in between.

Personable and approachable - she signed autographs and her CDs with a smile and small talk - Brown sang a collection of songs from her previous releases and trying out new songs. She sang, lead a dance and singing contests and generally kept the Pops-styled show - more blankets than folding chairs - on a steady and enjoyable pace.
