“I was lucky enough to grow up with opera,”
says Artistic Director Jane Ring Frank, now in her twenty-first season with
CWC. “My role models were neither Emma Peel nor Laura Petrie, but instead,
those sparkling divas of the opera house: Montserrat Caballé, Maria Callas,
Joan Sutherland, Leontyne Price, and so many others. It is the enduring memory
of opera that drew me to this program.”
Soloists
performing with the chorus include Soprano Jaime Hartzell, praised for her
stage presence and striking acting abilities; and Mezzo-soprano Vanessa
Schukis, who is greatly acclaimed for her operatic, oratorio and Broadway
repertoire. Celebrated Boston-based pianist Scott Nicholas will accompany the
chorus.
