Belmont CC Clubhouse Coming Down Next Month
Main structure to be replaced with new clubhouse, pool.
Long-anticipated but with a vague time line, the first concrete steps on reported $20 million renovation of its facilities has come to light.
On Jan. 15, 2012, the clubhouse at 181 Winter St. – which was renovated within the past decade for a reported $7 million – will be razed as the construction project begins in earnest.
In its place will rise a new 55,000 sq.-ft. clubhouse with several amenities such as a modern exercise club in addition to a new pool facility with its own cabana building.

While the clubhouse will be gone, the golf course and the club will continue operating.
CBT Architects of Boston and commercial interior designer Frank Nicholson, Inc. will be creating a modern design for the Club, which has existed in its present ownership group since 1943. The first golf course on the site, a public 9-hole course, was built 101 years ago.

Westborough's Stateside Construction will execute the project as the general contractor with an expected completion date of Spring, 2013.
