Features: Sportsmanship: Our camp culture prizes sportsmanship, highlighted by our daily sportsperson awards and weekly CSS Cup. BELMONT, MA – Belmont K-9 Grim celebrated his birthday on the Fourth of July. The department announced the longtime canine officer's birthday in a Twitter post on Tuesday.Grim joined the force in 2013 after an anonymous donation allowed the Belmont Police Department to implement its first K-9 program. He underwent rigorous training to learn skills such as basic patrol functions as well as narcotics detection. Now a veteran of the department, the furriest officer turned seven on Tuesday.
