Belmont Library Parent/Child ESL & New Family Night

The Belmont Public Library is inviting non-native English speaking parents of elementary-aged children, as well as families NEW to Belmont, to parent/child night.  Children will enjoy an activity in the Children's room while parents will be shown how to:

  • Search the library database at home or at the library

  • Request a book that is at another library

  • Reserve a museum pass (cheaper tickets to museums!)

  • Find ESL materials in the library

  • Find local English classes to learn the language

  • Learn what the children’s room has to offer

  • Get a library card (to get one that night, bring a utility bill like electric or gas that has your name and address on it. Also bring a picture ID)

  • Join Elementary ESL Teachers Lindi DeLorio and Michelle Caffrey in the Belmont Library’s assembly room.  Tell your friends and neighbors too!
