Belmont Man Accused of Punching Out Bus Window
Jason Santos told police the driver of the bus cut him off, and he was going to remind him to "use his mirrors" next time.

BELMONT, MA - A Belmont man was arrested Sunday after punching out the window of an MBTA bus to confront its driver, MBTA Transit Police said.
Jason Santos is accused of passing a Route 86 bus around 2:40 p.m. Sunday and blocking its path to the bus stop near 230 Western Ave. in Allston. According to police, the driver of the bus had to stop in the middle of the street to allow passengers to exit.
Police said the 36-year-old then exited his car, a Toyota Scion, approached the driver's side window of the bus and punched it out. The bus driver was hit with shards of glass in his face and torso when the window shattered, police said.

The bus driver was treated for possible shards of glass in his eyes. Santos was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property and assault and battery on a public employee.
Santos told police that the driver cut him off, and he was going to remind him to "use his mirrors" next time.
