Belmont Minuteman Special Election Results

Belmont voted overwhelmingly against approving the funds for the new Minuteman High School.

BELMONT, MA – The Town of Belmont voted overwhelmingly against approving the $145 million in borrowed funds for a new Minuteman High School.

Belmont voted 2,327 - 901 against approving the funds, according to the unofficial results from the town clerk.

Borrowing funds for the new Minuteman school has been an unpopular prospect in Belmont; in May, Belmont voted against approving its portion of the debt for the school, forcing Tuesday's district-wide referendum.
