Belmont Municipal Light Board Accepting Applications for Appointments to Light Board Advisory Committee

The Municipal Light Board (MLB) is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals to serve on the Light Board Advisory Committee (LBAC). The LBAC is charged with advising the MLB on fair and equitable demand-side management (DSM) policies, plans, and programs that are consistent with customer needs, legal mandates, public policy, operational requirements, and the long-term financial stability and viability of the electric utility, as well as other tasks assigned by the MLB.
To serve on the LBAC, individuals should demonstrate expertise in at least some of the following areas: legal and regulatory matters related to electric utilities, electric power engineering, finance, accounting, economics, sustainability, and renewable energy. Members are appointed for three-year terms.
Interested individuals should fill out a Community Volunteer Interest Form. Completed forms may be submitted by mailing to Light Board Appointments, 40 Prince Street, Belmont, MA 02478, by faxing to (617) 993-2846 or by emailing to LightBoard@BelmontLight.com. The Community Volunteer Interest Form is available at the Selectmen’s Office or by downloading it from the Town website (http://www.belmont-ma.gov/sites/belmontma/files/file/file/community_volunteer_interest_form_4.pdf).
