Belmont Police to Hold Drug Take-Back April 30

Residents can return prescription medication to prevent its theft or abuse.

BELMONT, MA - The Belmont Police Department will host a prescription drug take-back for residents to drop off their old, unused and expired medication.

Held in conjunction with the Belmont Auxiliary Police and the DEA, the aim of the initiative is to prevent the abuse and theft of prescription drugs. In addition, improper disposal of some medication may pose a health hazard in the environment.

The collection point will be located at the DPW yard at 37 C St. on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Police will not accept liquid medication.

Belmont Police also have a permanent drug collection site set up in the lobby of the station.
