Belmont Police Ticket Kids for Good Behavior
The citations will be redeemable for a $4 treat at three local shops.

BELMONT, MA – Belmont Police are spearheading the "Smart Choice Program" to ticket kids for displays of good behavior.
The initiative is a collaboration between the department, the Belmont Center Business Association and the Belmont Savings Bank to encourage smart choices in kids.
Kids will be cited if they are observed using crosswalks, wearing a helmet while riding bikes and scooters or making a number of other safe and healthy choices.
