Mass Belmont Power Outages Left 2,000 Customers In The Dark Monday

BELMONT, MA – About 2,000 customers in Belmont were without power Monday, according to Belmont Light. The mass outages were the result of a major equipment failure, the company said.

Belmont Light worked throughout the day to restore power to residents. As of 11 p.m., the company was still working to ensure all customers have power. Temporary equipment has been set up to bring the system fully back online.
