Our friends from the Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston organization will give a short lecture on what’s currently in the night sky, and then we will be able to look through their telescopes and see for ourselves. The Moon will be close to first quarter, and both Jupiter and Saturn will be in view, along with assorted fainter star clusters and nebulas. All ages are welcome, and if you have a telescope you want more instruction on using, come early with it!

Masks are encouraged and appreciated regardless of vaccination status, and we ask that you maintain social distancing around the telescopes.

Any flashlights should be low-power and covered with a dark-red filter (maybe made from an inexpensive plastic report cover from a stationery store). Please do not use LED lights on headbands or flashlight apps on smart phones (unless the app allows the color of the light to be made dark red) to allow for the best viewing of the night sky.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please register here so that we can notify you of any cancellations (which may happen due to cloud cover, not necessarily rain or other more typical reasons).
