Mahoney works for a non-profit called “Friends of the Public Private Partnership for Justice Reform in Afghanistan,” whose President is former Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey. The organization’s objective is to train Afghan attorneys in the rule of law so they can improve and strengthen the young democracy the United States has helped the Afghan people to establish.

Mahoney volunteered for the Romney 2012 campaign and in her spare time she’s one of the editors for the Republican blog, Red Mass Group. In the past she’s worked on the Kerry Healey and Charlie Baker Gubernatorial Campaigns, as well Mitt Romney’s 2008 Presidential bid.
