This session, Basic Rights, Understanding the IEP; provides an understanding of the Individual Education Plan. Session topics include:

  • Why is an IEP important for my child
  • How is an IEP developed
  • What information belongs in each section
  • What types of services may be included
  • Effective Progress and measurable goals
  • What to do when you receive the proposed IEP
  • Procedure Due Process, Rights for resolving disputes
  • Strategies for Success and more!

Who should attend? Families of students with identified special needs and those with questions about their students' learning. As well as all interested community member including staff and teachers.
