Belmont Students Named Science Talent Search Semi-Finalists
A group of 40 student finalists will be selected to travel to Washington D.C. and compete for a final prize of $250,000.

BELMONT, MA – Two Belmont Hill School students were named semi-finalists in this year's Science Talent Search.
Junior John Edmondson Daley was selected for the project "Maturation of ohe Endoplasmic Reticulum Translocon Complex In Stem Cell Derived Beta Cells."
Junior Andrew Albert Kaneb was highlighted for the project "Whole Exome and Whole Genome Sequencing of Central Neurocytoma."

Both are among 300 Science Talent Search Scholars – semi-finalists – selected by Regeneron for the nation's premier pre-college science competition. From the pool of Scholars, 40 finalists will be chosen to travel to Washington, D.C. and participate in final judging, display their work to the public, meet with notable scientists and compete for awards, including the top prize of $250,000.
Science Talent Search alumni have gone on to make great advances in science and mathematics and hold several notable honors, including the Nobel Prize and the National Medal of Science.
