Broadway in Belmont, Volleyball Clinic for Kids, Woman's Club's Fashion Show
What's happening in Belmont in the coming week.

• Why go to the Great White Way when you can hear the best of Broadway in town as the Belmont High School Performing Arts Company presents Broadway Night on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. in the school's Little Theater. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students with one free ticket for BPS staff. Tickets available in advance (strongly encouraged) at Champions Sporting Goods and at lunch the week of the show. • Volleyball has become one of the most popular sports at the High School level: this year nearly 90 young women tried out for the Belmont High School teams. And on Tuesday, the Belmont High School volleyball team will be holding their annual free youth clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 4 p.m. in the Wenner Field House at the High School.
• Come join the members of the Belmont Woman's Club on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Belmont Hill School's Wadsworth Room for wine and dinner highlighted by a fashion show by the Belmont Center clothing store, Revolve, featuring "Women of Belmont" The dinner and show will take place in the Wadsworth Room at the Belmont Hill School. The dinner is being catered by Bon Appetit and there will be raffles. Tickets are $65 ($25 is tax deductible). Purchase tickets at Revolve-Belmont Center or call 617-484-7900 or 617-484-5524. The proceeds benefits Preservation of the William Flagg Homer House, scholarships and philanthropies.
• The Belmont Council on Aging and the Beech Street Center are sponsoring a Belder Bus Trip to the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University on Wednesday, Oct. 23, with the bus leaving the Center at 11:30 a.m. and arriving back home at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free, but a donation is appreciated. In addition, the round-trip Belder Bus contribution of $4 is also appreciated. Several exhibits have recently opened at this small but prestigious museum. A notable one is “Image Machine: Andy Warhol & Photography.” Learn how Warhol used photography throughout his career as source material, medium, and subject
matter, as a student docent helps us look closely at two or three works in this and other exhibits.
• It's the final week of the fall regular season for most of Belmont High School sports and there are a number of big games this week: Field Hockey will play for the Middlesex League's Liberty Division championship as they host Lexington at 3:45 p.m. on Harris Field; Girls' Soccer takes on Woburn on Monday, Oct. 21 at 3:45 p.m. and Lexington High Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. as they attempt to make the playoffs; and Girls' Swimming will be seeking their first outright league title at they visit Lexington on Friday, Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m. The action will take place at the Middlesex Technical High School.
