Burlington Wegmans Announces Opening Date

Wegmans Food Markets announced Monday that it’ll open its new Burlington store, at 53 Third Ave., at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.

In addition to a grocery store, the Burlington Wegmans will have a pharmacy, sushi department, pizza and sub shops, a coffee shop, Asian and Indian cuisine, kosher foods, a vegetarian bar and an on-site liquor store.

Wegmans said it’s looking to hire 400 part-time employees for the Burlington store in the coming weeks and months. Two hundred full-time jobs have already been filled.

The company will be hosting open interview days in August at the Wegmans Employment Office at 71 Third Ave. in Burlington.

The open interview days are Friday, Aug. 15, and Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details, visit the Wegmans careers page.

There are currently two Wegmans in Massachusetts – in Northborough and Chestnut Hill.
