Cambridge Burger Tops Zagat's Rankings

Zagat recently published “The Best Burgers in the USA,” and a Cambridge burger placed first on the Boston area list.

Craigie on Main’s “Local Grass-Fed Beef Burger” topped Zagat’s list of the Boston area’s 10 best burgers.

Here’s what Zagat had to say:

The myth. The legend. The area’s reigning burger king ($17) is crowned with glorious mace ketchup and cheddar from Vermont’s Shelburne Farm; some add fried egg or bacon. With only 18 made nightly, slight elusiveness adds inimitable appeal that merits the beefy price. Says one voter, “I’d spend my allowance on this every week.”

Craigie on Main is at 853 Main St. in Cambridge.

Another Cambridge burger, Park’s “Park Patty Melt,” was the runner-up; jm Curley’s “Curley Burger” was ranked third.
