Celebrate the 10th Belmont World Film Gala Saturday
Auction, party begins a 7 p.m.at Lesley College in Cambridge to support Belmont's own film festival.

Come celebrate Belmont World Film's tenth anniversary this Saturday, May 14, at Lesley University at 7 p.m.
Everything is in place for a wonderful evening filled with entertainment by The East Africa Great Lakes Dance Ensemble, slam poet and musician Regie Gibson and the Robert Rivera Trio, great international food and drink including a complimentary sake tasting and an exciting array of auction items to bid on (trips, jewelry, restaurants, Red Sox tickets ...). The festival is also honoring three women who have made great contributions to world peace through the use of film and photo journalism:
Carrie Lemack is the co-founder of Global Survivors Network, an organization dedicated to non-violent resolution of conflicts, and the executive producer of the documentary film Killing in the Name.

Paula Lerner an award winning photojournalist and multimedia producer from Belmont whose work on Behind the Veil won her an Emmy.
Ronit Avni is the founder/executive director of Just Vision and the director of the documentary films Encounter Point and Budrus, for which she was also the producer/executive producer.
