Author Harriet Reisen will talk about the book Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women on Thursday May 13 at 7:30 PM in the assembly room of the Belmont Public Library.
A former fellow in screenwriting at the American Film Institute, Reisen has written dramatic and historical documentary scripts for PBS and HBO, and radio commentary for Morning Edition and Marketplace. She wrote a documentary of the life of Louisa May Alcott for which Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women is a companion biography.

The book was a Top 10 Standout Selection of The Wall Street Journal for 2009 and was "highly recommended" by the LIBRARY JOURNAL.
The Assembly Room of the Belmont Public Library is handicap accessible and the event is free. The library is located at 336 Concord Avenue, Belmont. For more information call 617-489-2000.
