Belmont World Film Family Film Festival

Nonprofit Belmont World Film,  presents the statewide premiere of Mamoru Hosoda's international award-winning feature film SUMMER WARS. Winner of the Japanese academy-award, Hosoda's film is a cyberpunk/sci-fi visual tour-de-force, with the amazing world of Oz, a globe-scanning virtual world, as the highlight. When teenage math prodigy Kenji solves a math riddle sent to his cell phone, he unwittingly breaches the security barricade protecting Oz. The ensuring battle for control of Oz is played out in a pixel parade of cool avatar designs, kung fu jackrabbits, toothy bears, and a bursting rainbow of colors. Nov. 21st, 3:30pm.
