This special meeting of Books and Bites, the library's monthly book review program, will consider several authors known for their portrayal of suburban life, including Sloan Wilson, Judith Guest, and Claire Cook.
The free program is part of One Book One Belmont, which invites town residents to all read the same book and attend events related to the book's themes. The 2012 selected title is "The Leftovers" by Tom Perrotta, who one critic called "our Balzac of the suburbs."
