Lobby of Library Art Exhibition-Adrienne Der Marderosian

Local artist Adrienne Der Marderosian's art exhibition which has been running in the lobby of the Belmont Public Library since October 1st and concludes today is entitled 'New Works.'  It is a selected number of works on paper.  This artist was recently awarded a local grant from the Belmont Cultural Council which has partially funded this exhibition.
The exhibition is a series of collages that explores Der Marderosian's fascination with found or existing imagery.  By combining art historical references with contemporary ones, she is merging differing time frames to create a novel viewpoint.
Der Marderosian has received numerous awards and has exhibited nationally since the early 1990s.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Belmont Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
